In this case &#8220;all or none thinking&#8221; and how to prevent it.<br><br>One of the characteristics of perfectionists is that they view their performance as black or white, good or bad, with no shades of gray in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This leads to athletes judging their performance harshly when they don&#8217;t perform up to their unwritten standards.<br><br>These athletes over analyze and judge their performance as either good or bad, while performing, and get stuck on the last shot, skill, or play.
