comes down to one play or one event, is one of the greatest <strong>pressure<\/strong> moments you will ever experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think of what an athlete experiences in that one big moment&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You spent preseason working on your endurance, speed and technique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your early training sessions left you physically worn out and tired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the season, you had to work through mistakes, bad technique, falls, long training sessions, subpar performances, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You questioned if you would achieve your <strong>goals.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doubts and frustrations were commonplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Many_days_you_wondered_if_all_the_training_was_worth_it\"><\/span>Many days you wondered if all the training was worth it.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You had to muddle through injuries and battle sickness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You felt <strong>mentally<\/strong> exhausted but all your efforts and energies were paying off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your goal is in sight but there is another hurdle to overcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the biggest challenge of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It all comes down to this&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you relate to this experience?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For some athletes, a big moment seems too big&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These athletes feel the <strong>pressure.<\/strong> Intense emotions course through their veins and negative thoughts swirl in their minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The big moment seems overwhelming and they just freeze when they need to be at their best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other athletes rise to the occasion&#8230; This big moment is why they compete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These athletes have replayed this big moment over and over in their minds throughout the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They have trained and practiced for hundreds of hours preparing for this moment and they are excited to realize their dream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Philadelphia Eagles faced this big moment in the NFC Divisional Round playoff game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Eagles had the best record during the season but were without many key players due to injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, advancing to the NFC title game would come down to one moment&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Eagles were winning 15-10 in sub-freezing temperatures with 1:05 remaining in the game and the Falcons had the ball, 4th down, on the Eagles&#8217; two yard line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The big moment wasn\u2019t too big for the Eagles as the defense broke up a pass in the end zone to make the play of the game and push the team to victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Eagles_safety_Malcolm_Jenkins_described_talked_about_the_big_moment_and_the_teams_mindset_in_that_moment\"><\/span>Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins described talked about the big moment and the team\u2019s min<strong>d<\/strong>set in that moment.<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JENKINS:<\/strong> <em>&#8220;The biggest thing I wanted everyone to realize was this is it. This is the season. I wanted guys to feel that moment. The crowd is going crazy. It&#8217;s fourth-and-2&#8230;. It&#8217;s one of those things that you dream about. Literally, where you make a play, you move on. You don&#8217;t, you go home. Everything we worked for since last April is coming down to one play, and we got to be ready.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Performing <strong>BIG<\/strong> in the <strong>BIG<\/strong> moment requires that you prepared for the <strong>BIG<\/strong> moment.
