class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do_you_feel_like_youre_stuck_and_cant_pull_yourself_out\"><\/span>Do you feel like you\u2019re stuck and can\u2019t pull yourself out?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you thinking the next game will also be a struggle?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steph Curry, who\u2019s probably my favorite athlete right now, has had a fairly rough post-season this year&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He suffered an MCL sprain back in March and has been questioned about the stability of his mind and body since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Game 3 of the Finals on Sunday night against the Rockets, the Curry we all know re-emerged. He had 35 points, 6 rebounds, 13-of-23 shooting, and five 3-pointers. After a bucket in the third quarter, Curry shimmied and yelled:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;THIS IS MY (expletive) HOUSE!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curry also commented on his <strong>preparation<\/strong> and mental state. He said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;I saw the ball go in, and from there I was in the right place of mind&#8230; I\u2019m feeling good.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the Warriors\u2019 126-85 victory over the Rockets, Curry stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%E2%80%9CYou_cant_press_and_never_lose_confidence%E2%80%9D\"><\/span><em>&#8220;You can\u2019t press, and never lose confidence.&#8221;<\/em><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though Curry has struggled in the post-season thus far, he stayed <strong>confident,<\/strong> continuing to <strong>believe<\/strong> in his ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curry&#8217;s <strong>confidence<\/strong> doesn&#8217;t waver no matter his production on the court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Confidence<\/strong> doesn\u2019t change for him in the face of <strong>adversity<\/strong> or <strong>success.<\/strong> He\u2019s always the same player and believes in his ability and skills each time he steps onto the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regardless of a string of bad games, Curry\u2019s <strong>confidence<\/strong> remained at a high level and because his belief was unwavering, he made the comeback he did in Game 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"So_how_do_you_get_confidence_like_Steph_Curry\"><\/span>So, how do you get confidence like Steph Curry?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You have to be <strong>proactive<\/strong> with your <strong>confidence.<\/strong> It has to be something you establish before you step onto the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You need to remind yourself of your <strong>strengths<\/strong> and <strong>successes,<\/strong> and that you\u2019re a great athlete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, like Curry, you should have good <strong>mental preparation<\/strong>&#8230; <em>&#8220;See the ball go in.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, use preset <strong>confident<\/strong> phrases you can say to yourself during a game, such as, <em>&#8220;I\u2019m a good player,&#8221; &#8220;I can make any shot,&#8221; &#8220;I can defend any player&#8221;<\/em> or,<em> &#8220;THIS IS MY HOUSE!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You might have been playing your sport for a while and working on your <strong>confidence<\/strong> through those years.
