Reach Peak Performance on The Stage for Dancers, Ballerinas & Competitive Cheerleaders
If you perform relaxed and calm during practice, but find yourself performing tight, anxious, or tentatively in competition, you can benefit from mental game coaching. In fact many dancers, ballerinas and cheerleaders struggle with performing up to their potential in competition.
Do any of these statements sound familiar?
- I’m so frustrated with my performance in competition that I feel like giving up!
- I don’t feel like the same performer when I step on the stage for competition compared to practice.
- No matter how hard I practice I can’t seem to reach my peak in my performance.
- I wish I could perform with the same confidence at competition that I feel in practice.
- I feel like my performance is tight, cautious or that I try to not make mistakes.
If the above statements sound familiar to you, then you could benefit from mental training for dance, ballet or cheer.

Mental Training for Dance, Ballet & Cheerleading Success Stories
“My Coaches Were All So Proud of Me!”
“It was amazing!!! Before the show, I really felt like I was becoming the part. I was oddly calm, which concerned me because I thought my nerves might kick in on stage! But, they didn’t! I stayed focused in each moment, and remained calm, and actually did the difficult tricks better than I ever have! My coaches were all so proud of me and the one who I know the best was marveling at my calm, poised manner throughout the ballet. They said it seemed like I was doing it for the 15th time, I looked so comfortable. This is the result of my work with you! You gave me the tools to tackle this huge mountain of a role, step by step! I am beyond happy!”*
“The Last Competition Went Perfect.”
“The last competition went perfect. I danced nationals and won two out of the 5 dances that we compete in. That means I was very close to becoming US champion… In fact that was the best result I have received in America in a while. I must say that based on my own feelings and feedback from others I do believe that my mental approach was a big part of it… and for that I have you to thank!”*
~Tal Livshitz, Amateur Latin Line Dancer, Top 3 in USA
“Thank You For Helping Me Off Of My Plateau”
“I am grateful for your insight not only in answering these questions but also from the teleclass sessions…the points that in both of these forums has helped me to “go with the flow” or, more importantly, recognize times that I’m not “in the flow” so that I trigger a re-focusing of my attention, emotions, and energies. Thank you for helping me off of my plateau!”*
“Dr. Cohn’s Programs Can Help Any Athlete or Team Improve Mental Toughness”

“I Was Able to Perform With A Confidence That Allowed My Style to Shine Through”
“WOW!!! What a week I had. Results aside, the way I finally felt while performing and competing was really my win. I was able to perform with a confidence that allowed my style to shine through. No more entering the arena with that “deer in the headlights” look or feeling, no evaluating myself while I was performing – and, I actually left the arena after my patterns feeling like I had had a lot of fun. I am looking forward to continuing to work with you to build on the strategies that you helped me create and to keep growing. Thank you so much.”*
