What is Mental Performance Coaching for Kart Racing?
Kart racing mental performance coaching is one-on-one virtual training that helps drivers overcome the mental barriers, such as race anxiety, overthinking lines and braking points, fear after incidents, and the inability to drive with the same aggression in races as in practice, that prevent them from competing to their potential. At Peak Performance Sports, certified mental performance coaches work with kart racers using the Athlete’s Mental Edge Framework and the Athlete’s Mental Aptitude Assessment (AMAP) to build a personalized mental game plan. Programs are available for junior karting through senior and pro-level drivers worldwide.

→”I’m much faster in practice than I am when the race starts.”
→”After contact or an incident I ride overly cautious and lose positions.”
→”I overthink my lines and braking points in races instead of driving on feel.”
→”I tighten up when I’m fighting for position or defending from a faster driver.”
→”My gate nerves affect my starts and I lose spots I shouldn’t lose.”
